Hoping for a great season. Sucks that we really have to wait for HS to finish. Looking forward to a few things:
- Seeing DH Hurricanes performance in National League. - Will NYCUP be as good as past Seasons? - Will ENY State Cup even happen?

Seems to me that the number of teams in the ENY State Cups was way down last year, we'll see if they bounce back this year. The ENY State Cup is still attractive since winning it gets you into the Region 1 tournament, so I think there will still be interest.
Region 1 has just changed the format of the R1 Premier League - 3 divisions, promotion/relegation and only one game a day. So they are trying to adjust and offer a more attractive product.
NY Cup is a good competition, though.

So, NYPL and ENY Premier alignments are out. Both leagues I guess (ENY Premier schedule is posted, NYPL's is not) play an abbreviated schedule from late Oct. to late Nov. or early Dec.
NYPL Div. 1: Auburndale United, Brentwood Academy, Hauppauge Blue Crew, ISA Hurricanes, STA Gjoa and White Plains Academy.
ENY Premier: CSH Dynamite, FC Somers Galaxy, Northport Cow Harbor Rebels, Sachem Golden Knights, Staten Island Gunners.
CSH Dynamite is also playing LIJSL Div. 1. Levittown Rage are in LIJSL. Dix Hills Hurricanes are in the USYSA National League, although I don't know when that league plays. Garden City Park and Stony Brook Boca Red are not in any league this fall that I've seen. Smithtown Roma I'm guessing will be in EDP again. I've heard that's a spring league only, although I've also heard that EDP plays a couple of games in the fall at this age.
A good number of the local teams are playing in either the Brooklyn Italians Columbus Cup or the Northport tournament on Columbus Day weekend.
Kind of a strange season with the kids playing high school ball and, other than LIJSL, no club ball until late October at the earliest.

Hello, can you start a thread titled what ever you can think of that will address the topic surrounding the cyber attacks launched by Larry Miller and his engine of hatred that continues to pollute our culture and ultimately infects our children.
How can we ever take a stand against him if we as parents are the ones frequenting his site, demonstrating the very behavior of cyber bullying that we hope and pray never impacts our children.
How do we change this culture of hatred Larry puts forward?
We cannot control him but we as parents can do something about by protesting his site. Why do we support organizations like Rough Riders and Boca Jrs if they sponsor sites that promote hatred and negativity in our children. We cannot hold Larry responsible but we can hold his sponsors responsible.

Who's Larry Miller?
Anyway, high school seasons are ending this week, and both ENY Premier and NYPL are starting either this weekend or next. Tournament action from Columbus Day weekend had Manhattan Villa winning the Brooklyn Italians' Columbus Cup by beating Dix Hills in the semis and Gotschee in the final. At Northport, Somers Galaxy beat Pleasant Valley to win the top bracket, but EI Wolfpack was actually the only team to go undefeated, so congrats to them as well.
In the end, it's pretty hard to draw any conclusions from these tournament results. Some teams likely were missing players due to high school commitments while others may have benefitted from guest players.
Just hope the weather's nice through the end of November.
