This has gotten out of hand with all the leagues in the local area. Is there clearly a better league than the rest???

Looks like the other soccer talk site has chosen to bash EDP. It's comical that they think people will actually believe their negative spin. The teams, competition and overall soccer play in EDP is far superior to most of the other Leagues in our area. Including the "Premier" leagues.

Dimitrie Draguca has been elected as the new President of the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League.
Draguca has been with Downtown United SC in many capacities over the years. The CJSL, which was founded back in 1933, celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. It's anniversary dinner will be held at Astoria-World Manor 25-22 Astoria Blvd. in Astoria, N.Y. on Friday, Nov. 1.

Teams like National Champions Smithtown play in the region 1 league (USYSA) and also EDP(club soccer) Many teams are registered in different leagues and play in both.

When is US Club going to start prohibiting coaches from making their own passes? It is blatantly obvious that there is alot of doctoring going on with passes, which leads to illegal players playing in a match. This just destroys all validity of the games being played. Teams are rewarded only by winning. If teams win by using illegal players, it can be said that the only teams moving forward are the cheaters. Sooo, now all non-cheating teams can either also cheat or be left behind. Something has to change. Not to mention the possibility of an of-age player getting hurt playing against older players.

AEK is the end product of a merger between Elmont and the Greek Kosmos. They were both in talks with Auburndale to merge the 3 programs together. Hence...AEK. Auburndale decided against the merger but the other 2 continued on with AEK. That is why you are seeing previously known Elmont and Kosmos teams playing under the AEK banner. |

I been to many us club games where we are tied and all of a sudden there's a player out there tearing up the game, the kid looked almost as old as me. Did any one ever see the bench warmers, the scene where they used a guy that had kids and they showed the ump a paper drawn up in crayon saying I am 12 with a ten dollar bill. Its comical on how they run there organization

This is an invitation to CJ to come on this Board and debate the validity of EDP without having the luxury of censorship. You obviously know NOTHING about the game of soccer, but you do have the ability to block any responses to your childish and moronic evaluations of the EDP league. Any individual that has even limited knowledge of soccer clearly sees that the quality of teams, and soccer being played by those teams in EDP, is far superior to anything else in the area. Your comments are so stupid, that you are actually embarassing yourself. Go to Amazon, buy a couple of books on soccer and let's have a discussion about it. Maybe then you will get some respect as a soccer person. Right now you are nothing more than a clueless soccer blog s>it-talker that has the the ability to restrict responses to your brain-dead posts.

where are you seeing the list ? If you are referring to the list on the other board, that is a list of applied teams, not the teams actually playing. Do you have access to the brackets? |
