Seriously, I've heard lots about this I-step program. Who are the trainers? Are they the "real deal?" Anyone have any info? Would love to get some feedback......

All I know is that when it started it was going to be free, for the "elite" soccer loving kids that would eventually get scouted by AC MIlan. Now you have to pay for it. hmmmm

Hey guys! I work for ISTEP (Italian Soccer Training Exchange Program) so hopefully I can shed some light on this discussion. Our trainers are from Italy, have UEFA certs and AC Milan Youth Trainer certifications. They have also played and/or trained professional and/or semi-professional teams in Italy and have university degrees such as Childhood Development or Sports and Exercise Science. We ran a Milan Junior Camp this past June in Long Island and will be running more next summer. We also brought a dozen kids to Italy to the Milan Junior Camps there for two week this summer. Some of the kids from camp were selected to attend Milan Junior Day in Milan, Italy this coming spring and others were invited to the Copa Americana to be played in Bogata, Colombia this fall. We recently got academy status and offer mainly supplemental soccer training and train some area teams. We were founded with the goal of helping kids develop to their potential no matter their socio-economic status. It's possible that has been rumored as "free". We do charge for our services, however we offer need-based scholarships for players that meet our elite selection criteria (Passion for the soccer. Potential to learn. Respect for themselves, coaches, teammates and the game). We are having a clinic next week Aug 26-30 9a-11a M-F at Michael Tully Park in New Hyde Park if you want to watch our training or sign your kids up istepusa.com/Fall_Clinic2013.html. We'd love to have them! For some more subjective info, we have testimonials from parents and news articles posted on our website istepusa.com/Press___Testimonials.html Let me know if you have any more questions about us! You can reach me here or erica@istepusa.com

Camafra, yes that is correct. Our academy status is through USSF.
Anon.. the ISTEP trainers do complete Risk Management and get their trainer passes through LIJSL.

hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that if you want to see and experience ISTEP for yourself we have a Thanksgiving Clinic coming up Nov 29 - Dec 1. It's open to everyone and yes there will be some accents.
The clinic will be 2 days of intense soccer skill work as directed by our UEFA and AC Milan Youth certified professional trainers. Players will then put their new skills to the test in a mini 3v3 tournament on the last day. Register Here: istepusa.sportssignup.com TIMES Nov 29: 6-8p Nov 30: 12-2p Dec 1: 12-2p Location: Unlimited Sports Action
(Players that attend may be asked to join one of our elite groups, which are supplemental training groups that from time to time go to tournaments. Our next scheduled tournament is the Trofeo Carevella April 2014 in Genoa, Italy in collaboration with CFC Genoa's youth division.)

BOTN reported that this is just another east european running another money making b.s. academy...this is no academy. I emailed Larry and he said he turned down their advertising because it is bogus...it is a coach Anil i think his name is out of the little neck club. The LND club is real biggie, NOT!
