2013 LIJSL PDP TRYOUT INFORMATION

All tryouts will be at the Peter C. Collins Soccer Park in Plainview on June 22nd, August 10th, and August 18th. You do not need to be available for all three tryout dates, however we encourage players to attend as many tryout sessions as possible so we can make the best and most complete assessment of your skills. Specific times for each age group are as follows:

Players born in 2003: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Players born in 2002: 10:30 am - 12:00 Noon
Players born in 2001: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Players born in 2000: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Players born in 1999: 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Players born in 1998: 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Players born in 1997 and 1996: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

First, I am glad to see this site. I hope it prospers and provide a counterpoint to the other site. Competition is needed to provide information like the existence of programs like the LIJSL PDP program. I had firsthand experience of my son's marked improvement last year and I credit a lot of that to the training provided by this program.

Now, my question: does anyone know when the league sends the invites out for the accepted players? I know the development age (2003 this year) does it early since its training starts in the fall, but I am curious if for the older ages they wait for State ODP selection has finished.

johnny99: Next spring, Region 1 PL and NERP/Colonial League will be replaced by the Champions League - 3 divisions, each with North, Central, South brackets, and promotion/relegation from year to year. Sounds very much like EDP. Dec 11, 2014 18:20:08 GMT -5
